Members enjoyed a pleasant Sunday lunch at the Sunbury Bowling Club, to celebrate 40 years of the Macedon Ranges & District Motor Club. With thanks to founding father George Porter who put an advertisement in the local paper on the 15th November 1983.

The Club was founded on the evening of 23rd November 1983 with a founding membership of 12 members. The membership was open to people “to encourage the restoration, preservation and operation for all classes of stationery engines and motorised vehicles”
The initial fleet of vehicles ranged from hearses to vintage cars to vintage motorcycles.

Today the club has a membership of around 300.
