Rolling Hills and Giant Marbles:Ā

The Midweek Run to Tooborac ~ the last Wednesday of March offered more than just a drive; it was a journey through some of Victoria's most picturesque hidden corridors.

Our day began at a gentle pace, with members gathering for morning tea at Little Vics Cafe in Riddells Creek. As we hit the road, the route took us north through the heart of the Macedon Ranges. The stretch along the Lancefield-Tooborac Road and through Nulla Vale proved to be a highlight, offering quiet, winding bitumen framed by historic rural properties. The landscape shifted dramatically as we neared Tooborac, where the famous "giants' marbles"-massive, precariously balanced granite boulders erupted from the green paddocks.

The day concluded at the historic Tooborac Hotel. A long-time favourite of the group, the hotel treated us to an exclusive "behind-the-scenes" tour of their brewery. Seeing the craft process firsthand made the subsequent tasting and hearty pub meal even more rewarding. It was a perfect blend of great roads, unique geology, and even better company.

Community, Classics, and the Call of the Sea: Sunbury Car Show

The final weekend of March saw our members gathering under the sun for the Rotary Club of Sunbury Car Show. The atmosphere was electric, filled with the shine of polished chrome, a fantastic turnout of vehicles, and the upbeat sounds of a live band.

Beyond the cars, the event carried a meaningful mission: supporting the new Rotary Sail Training Program. This year, the Rotary Club is sponsoring four local youths for a life-changing four-day voyage aboard the tall ship 'Enterprize'. We are proud of our members who walked away with prizes, representing our club's passion and standard of excellence. Looking ahead, we hope to invite the young voyagers to a General Meeting in the near future to share their high-seas adventures with us. It was a weekend that proved the car community is about much more than just the machines; it's about the people and the future.
