Winners are Grinners 🏆

On Sunday, June 22nd, 12 enthusiastic members met at Repco Bell Street for a scenic drive through Templestowe, Park Orchards, and Ringwood, ultimately arriving at the Ambulance Victoria Historic Museum. We were joined by 6 additional members, making a total of 18, and were welcomed by museum staff and the Chrysler Restorer Club of Victoria.

The museum, founded in 1986 by retired ambulance officers, houses a growing fleet of 30 vintage ambulances, including the first Mobile Intensive Care Ambulance and an Ashford Litter from 1887. During our visit, we watched historical footage of the Ambulance Service and enjoyed a delicious morning tea while tackling a challenging questionnaire.

After a couple of hours, we headed to the Chrysler Restorer's Club in Nunawading for a BBQ lunch and dessert. We participated in fun challenges, and despite feeling outnumbered, we tallied well in the questionnaire and excelled in the physical challenges, ultimately winning the day and taking home the Pist 'N' Broke Trophy!

We thank our friends at CRYCO for a fantastic day and look forward to hosting the Challenge at our clubrooms next year.
